Sunday June 28, 2015, 85 miles (137 km) – Total so far: 8,697 miles (13,996 km)
We continued south through fog, drizzle and wind, rode over the Rogue River and decided to camp in Gold Beach, Oregon after 30 miles. According to Jocelyn there is not another campground until Brookings, Oregon about 25 hilly miles away. A mobile brick over pizza truck was parked in front of the Indian Creek Campground so we took advantage of that and sat by the camp fire until dark.
The next morning was again foggy and raining which made for a cold ride to Brookings for a taco lunch. It was then a quick ride to California and our next campsite in Crescent Beach where we camped among the redwoods at a really nice KOA. This was my second time to cycle into California and Jocelyn’s third and it is Nicole’s first visit to my home state.
