Continuing our way down the Oregon coast

Wednesday June 24, 2015, 95 miles (153 km) – Total so far: 8,517 miles (13,707 km)

One and a half days 95 miles We had a fun time visiting friends in east Portland then spending three nights at my brother-in-laws and his wife’s home in Hillsboro, Oregon. Cam and CeCe barbecued two wonderful meals. Along with that we visited several breweries and wineries which are very popular here in Oregon. Cam and I had a great Father’s Day. One of the wineries had free wine tastings for dads!

Monday morning we packed the bikes on the truck then drove back to the coast and started riding again. It was a bright sunny day and after 25 miles we called it a day at Beverly Beach State Park 6 miles north of Newport, Oregon. Along the way we were treated to a whale sighting within easy viewing from the road.

Tuesday morning was another clear and bright day. We cycled to Jocelyn’s friend’s house in Florence where we spent the night.
