We finally made it to the Pacific!

Tuesday September 1, 2015, 95 miles (153 km) – Total so far: 10,888 miles (17,523 km)

After several days of riding the Mexico 15 free and toll roads we headed west to the really cool city of Santiago Ixcuintla. If I wanted to learn Spanish and the Mexican culture this is the first city in Mexico that I would live in. The streets are very narrow and full of small shops and very friendly people. There is also a major university in town. The next morning we finally made it to the small fishing town of San Blas where we immediately headed to the beach for a nice lunch.

Tomorrow we will head south down the coast.

Throughout Mexico we have seen many motels outside of town like this one. We stopped at one before but received very quizzical looks as the motel rents rooms by the hour. There is no parking lot outside.

My Brooks mud guard fell off at some point due to vibration and the screws working loose. So I used a water carton piece and zip ties.
