Monday March 10, 2014, 42 miles (68 km) – Total so far: 511 miles (822 km)
March 10, 2014 We decided to return to the coast since this stretch was all on N340 which parallels the dreaded A7. It was a great choice as the road reminded us of the northern California coastal route of Big Sur. Traffic was light and the scenery very heavy with cliff climbs to 600 feet over the sea. The day was long until we reached the town of Almunecar after 42 miles. There we found an inexpensive hotel and cafe that served an excellent pizza.

No swimming but we did get sprayed by the wind yesterday. Very cold.
Now that looks like one of the best places to ride along the coast. I am happy to see the water and the nice little waves. This is such an epic part of the journey as I have wanted to travel this route and La Campostela for many years. The pictures are wonderful to help me see what your day has been like and what you eat is really interesting. I grocery shopped today and nothing looked like that salad! Bon appetit! XOXOX
Looks like great weather. Have you gone for a swim in the Med or is it too cold?
