We continued cycling north through a valley which rose to a very hot desert. The weather was very welcomed in the desert. Since time was short with our guide we loaded up the bikes and drove about 200 miles to the ancient city of Fez. Abraham’s friend gave us an excellent walking tour of the 9th century walled old town Medina. What a fascinating and invigorating walk among the 350,000 residents! Everything that the residents need is produced in the Medina.
Tomorrow will be our last day with Abraham. We will then cycle north to Spain.
that camel head creeped me out at first. the next shot is so glorious.
Hi Gracie. The towel rack is a real classic! Thanks for following us and the comments.
Love the stories and pictures! So excited to be following along on this adventure. From the “Moroccan towel rack” to feeding wild monkeys to the incredible Sahara. How wonderful.
Hi Bruce, We ferried past Gibraltar yesterday to Alegeciras, Spain yesterday. There were no ferry to Gibraltar.
I am happy to read that you made it to Fes and have had time to investigate the city. You are sharing some very interesting pictures of an ancient place with many beautiful works of art and history. ENJOY every minute and stay in safe places. Love you two!
Hi M and J, You two are having a wonderful adventure. Are you bypassing Gibraltar and going straight to Spain?
