Thanks Bruce. Thanks for the lyrics. We will reversing that and riding towards Casablanca on Sunday. Jocelyn had her picture taken with a cobra that struck at this guy several times. Crazy place. we had our first beer yesterday to. Casablanca – probably the equivalent of Bud in the US. But it was cold and tasty. There was a deluge in London and all our bags were soaked but no problem as everything was packed in the panniers. Although the bike boxes were falling apart. Everything is water proof.
You are THERE! Good to hear that your gear and bikes arrived safely. Sorry they were soaked in London! I think this journey is going to be filled with adventures and kind people. Enjoy every moment and get some rest when you can! Love always, andee/ms
Hope the first leg of your journey went smoothly and all your stuff made it to
Marrakesh. Charming cobras in the square. Striped djellabas we can wear at home
Looking at the world through the sunset in your eyes
Traveling the train through clear Moroccan skies
Ducks and pigs and chickens call, animal carpet wall to wall
American ladies five-foot tall in blue
Sweeping cobwebs from the edges of my mind
Had to get away to see what we could find
Hope the days that lie ahead bring us back to where they’ve led
Listen not to what’s been said to you
Would you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express?
Would you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express?
They’re taking me to Marrakesh
All aboard the train, all aboard the train
I’ve been saving all my money just to take you there
I smell the garden in your hair
Take the train from Casablanca going South
Blowing smoke rings from the corners of my mouth
Colored cottons hang in the air
Charming cobras in the square
Striped djellabas we can wear at home
Well, let me hear ya now
Would you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express?
Would you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express?
They’re taking me to Marrakesh
Would you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express?
Would you know we’re riding on the Marrakesh Express?
They’re taking me to Marrakesh
All aboard the train, all aboard the train, all aboard
This is going to be a long night of flying, and I will be waiting to hear that you have arrived in Marrakech on Wed. You will be fine once you get the bikes back together and test out the roadways. Keep smiling and the wheels turning around….love always, Andee
Thanks Al, Lou, and Kathy.
I hope you both enjoy Morocco as much as Kathy and I did. Say hello to Lahcen for us.
Have a great trip!
Al
