We have been waiting for almost two weeks now. The first week was a Chinese holiday so no visa work was accomplished. The Bishkek consulate reopened for business on the 9th and we were required to register with Kyrgyzstan immigration before they would process our visa. The latest date we received today is this Friday the 17th, Jocelyn’s birthday. We had hoped to celebrate in China.
She has been on meds for almost two weeks now and is much better. My illness recurred and I am slowing getting over that. We probably won’t get better until we are home so we will proceed with China and SE Asia as best we can.
Here are a few web sites of other bikers, new friends, we have met since Dushanbe and the Pamirs:
What a fine group that we have had the pleasure of riding with, sharing dinners and comparing notes. We are one big family with a similar goal of exploring this wonderful world.

Finally! I really appreciate that you took some time to update this website as many friends ask me about your health and well being. I know you are trying to be positive and hope that those Chinese visas arrive earlier! Of course, you can’t get travel plans made till that paperwork is completed. Ahhh, you aren’t in Kansas!
Your apartment looks very nice with a good set of windows. The food looks delicious and your kitchen is little, but complete with a washing machine! I understand you are playing the waiting game and know that these two weeks will pass soon enough. I kinda wish I had some time to read now!
Take care and let us know your future travels!
Love always, Andee
