World Cup

My German friend Robert at the South Pole is currently serving his 10th winter season there. We served together there last winter. The German team is playing in the finals. Attached is a picture of Robert flying the German flag. I have stood at this same spot and taken pictures of Jocelyn’s and my book on our cycling adventures. Visit his excellent South Pole blog at http://www.antarctic-adventures.de/.

  1. I can’t even imagine – you and Jocelyn take care. We are all thinking about you..

  2. Thanks Andee. Yes, it was a nice dinner. Unfortunately we are both sick today probably from all the unfiltered fountain water from the last several days. I dumped all that we had left and it was brown and slimy.

  3. Well, we had a visit from Colin and watched most of the match not caring who won. Of course, Germany made a fantastic goal right at the end of extra time and the news will remember this young kid, 22, for being in the right spot at the right moment.
I hope you have many more successful moments and that this cycling adventure continues wherever your heart chooses to go. It is hot here and I can’t complain with the a/c set at 79 F you would be chilled. Your dinner in the castle tonight sounded like a special time and I know you are anxious to keep moving through this mountainous terrain. Stay focused and hydrated. Love always, Andee momster
