Yesterday morning it was bright and sunny in Levis but we could see that just a few miles to the north it was raining on the St Lawrence River. I partially donned my rain gear as we were in and off the rain. In Quebec City we had bought a few souvenirs and post cards and after half a day riding through villages we found a post office. There were four women working there and none spoke a lick of English so we all had a good time trying to mail our stuff including just making the box. We then had lunch of peanut butter wraps in a park. The afternoon was spent riding the increasing hills until we found a campground with a grocery store right next door. At $21 Canadian it was our cheapest camp yet and also this place had the most amenities including a full kitchen at our disposal. Back at the store we bought lots of vegetables and had a grand dinner, along with ice cream for dessert. This downtown campground even had a pool and spa but by the time we had eaten and cleaned up we were ready for the tent.
Since we had a refrigerator we had bought juice and milk so we had a delicious breakfast of cereal and fruit. The first few hours were nice then all of a sudden a cold front moved in with strong headwinds and very cold. We spent the afternoon working through this and after 63 miles we made it to the city of Riviere-Du-Loup where we found a motel next to a grocery store to shop for dinner and breakfast, and a place to unthaw. Fortunately, it was not as cold as Chile when we left two months ago during the height of winter. Tomorrow we turn towards Maine and start cycling the Appalachian Mountains which begin in Newfoundland and Labrador.

Yesterday we left Riviere du-Loup on the St. Lawrence River and started to New Brunswick on the Petit Temis Interprovincial Linear Park Rail Trail. This bicycle trail built on the bed of an old railway covers 134 km with plenty of scenic lookouts, lakes, rest stops with toilettes and rustic camping. Last night we found a campsite in the village of Cabano on Lake Temiscouata. Today we crossed into our 6th Province of New Brunswick and made it past the city of Edmundston where we found another campground. Riding on this bicycle trail was very enjoyable. We hope to continue to find more trails such as this.

We had a late start due to finding a tire puncture on my front tire and then at a breakfast spot we realized we were now on Atlantic time. While searching for a campground we decided on a motel in Grand Falls, New Brunswick since it was getting late.
